Some of the most popular areas for camping in Connecticut center around the state’s numerous state parks. In particular, Quarry View Historic Park and Housatonic Meadows State Park Campground are popular options. Connecticut is known for a number of outdoor activities that are perfect for camping, from hiking to water sports. We recommend checking out Farmington River Trail for families that want to enjoy great views of the river on a flat, paved surface. When you visit the coast, you’ll be able to enjoy a wide range of activities such as scoot and paddling, water biking, canoeing, and kayaking. Brownstone Adventure Sports Park is a great place for kids, too.
